The old city of Kathmandu - Durbar Square

I really enjoyed visiting the Old City in Kathmandu. The Durbar Square is the former location of the Malla palace, where you can admire the complexity of the buildings built so many decades ago. A walk around the square will give you an extraordinary feeling of how amazing man's creativity is, even if you might be surrounded by exotic characters, such as richshwallas wanting to be your guide or to take you somewhere else. The complex includes the Hanuman Dhoka, the Kumari Bahal, the Kasthamandap and a number of wooden temples. Official guides can be hired from the Sinha Swan Khala office.
