The main camping spot is by the lake, near Camping Chowk. It's an opened green area, with basic facilities. You can choose to park your vehicle there for Rs 80, or only to set a tent, for Rs 40. You can also try making a deal with a guesthouse to camp in their garden. That usually costs half the price of a single.
